Job Description Summary

As an Engineering/Manufacturing Electronic Assembly Technician at GE Aerospace, you will play a critical role in assembling, reworking, upgrading, and modifying complex new-design engineering and pre-production avionics products to required specifications or instructions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and rework circuit card assemblies, major sub-assemblies, and top-level unit assemblies to ensure high-quality products.
  • Operate standard electronic manufacturing equipment and tools to meet production requirements.
  • Participate in the mechanical assembly and dis-assembly of complex engineering development products.
  • Contribute to the development of assembly and rework instructions for new products.
  • Maintain accurate product assembly records in quality data tracking systems.
  • Ensure product compliance and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to enable effective manufacturing processes.

Requirements:
  • Associate degree in an electronics technology discipline or equivalent experience in electronic soldering and assembly.
  • Ability to pass a solder and repair skills test.
  • Certification in IPC 610 & J-STD soldering specifications.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with soldering and assembly of complex analog and digital circuits.
  • Familiarity with electronic components and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision and be a self-starter.
  • Keen attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and PDF viewers.
  • Experience running surface mount (SMT) assembly lines.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers will be contingent on the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
