Mental Health Counselor for Military Families

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of military service members and their families with your expertise in counseling and behavioral health.
As a Mission Ready Reserve MFLC, you will provide face-to-face counseling services to military service members and their families, addressing a wide range of challenges including transitions, reoccurring moves, frequent separations, and deployments.
You will also have the opportunity to support military families in various settings, including schools and child development centers.
With Leidos, you will have the flexibility to work on a part-time basis, choosing assignments that align with your interests and skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individual, couples, family, and children counseling services to military service members and their families.
- Recommend referrals and handoffs to military and community resources based on the needs of military service members and their families.
- Offer presentations to address social skills development and social emotional learning for children.
- Build rapport with service members, spouses, and children by attending installation and community events.
As a Mission Ready Reserve MFLC, you will work in various indoor and outdoor locations, including military installations, schools, and child development centers.
You will be required to traverse uneven terrain, ascend/descend stairs, and be exposed to the weather.
Requirements:- A master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
- Licensure to practice at the independent practice level (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist) in the state where you provide services.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to pass a basic background check for employment, a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance, commonly called a Public Trust clearance.
