Job Description

At Dunaway Associates LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Survey Field Assistant I to join our team. As a Survey Field Assistant I, you will be responsible for conducting all preparatory work for daily surveying, including loading the vehicle with necessary supplies and ensuring all equipment is fully charged and functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily survey preparation, including loading the vehicle with necessary supplies and ensuring all equipment is fully charged and functioning.
  • Perform basic surveys, including leveling, traversing, boundary surveys, construction surveys, topographic surveys, and horizontal/vertical control surveys.
  • Operate, check, and make basic field adjustments on field equipment, including transits, total stations, robotic total stations, data collectors, levels, compass, tribrachs, tripods, and GPS equipment.
  • Interpret control and boundary monument records and data sheets, as well as locate control and boundary monuments in the field.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of general field surveying methods and use of surveying equipment.
  • Proficient with mid-level math.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
