Surgical Technologist I

This role is responsible for assisting in the Operating Room, ensuring a smooth and efficient surgical experience for patients. The Surgical Technologist I will work closely with the surgical team to prepare for procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and assist with patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing the operating room for procedures, including setting up equipment and sterilizing instruments.
• Maintain a sterile environment throughout the procedure, ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
• Assist the surgical team with patient care, including positioning and preparing patients for surgery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical experience.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or military program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 1 month of hire or transfer.
Working Conditions:
This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials. The Surgical Technologist I must be able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
