We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Equity Specialist to join our team in New York. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of our semi-monthly payroll using Ceridian Dayforce. You will also support our North American colleagues in the US and Canada and serve as a vital partner to our internal People Operations and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee end-to-end semi-monthly payroll for 700+ employees in a multi-state environment plus a small Canadian population.
- Operational instruction and transmittal of outsourced semi-monthly multi-state payroll for our US employees, as well as our Canadian population.
- Provide direct support and partner with key stakeholders in our Finance, Legal, and People teams.
- Support the day-to-day administration of our equity program, including reviewing, updating and maintaining accurate records of equity grants.
- Process tax adjustments as needed, plus year-end W2 filing.
- Periodic reporting to third parties as needed.
- Keep up to date with legislative changes and work with our technical team to ensure updates are made to the payroll software.
- Process garnishments, monopolistic workers compensation, union payments & leave of absence payments.
- Management of hourly employees' payroll using our integrated time and attendance software.
- Support People Operations Generalists, where required, with general benefits administration in relation to payroll.
- 3+ years experience in payroll and ideally in equity administration.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state US/Canadian statutory legislation.
- Excellent data skills, specifically Excel/Sheet, skills and a helpful disposition.
- Payroll qualifications are desirable, as is experience using Dayforce, our payroll system.
- Experience with equity platforms and public company share plans.
We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $80,000, plus a range of benefits including 401k match and health insurance. We also offer unlimited holiday and a share in our success through our profit pool bonus scheme.
This is a Hybrid role from our New York office, working three days from the office, two from home.
