The Patient Service Representative (PSR) plays a vital role in ensuring patient satisfaction and efficient operations within our healthcare organization. As a key member of our team, the PSR works closely with physicians, managers, and support staff to deliver exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Check-in and Check-out: Perform patient registration and check-out functions, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of patient information.
- Communication and Support: Respond to patient inquiries, provide information, and offer support to ensure patient satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Clerical Functions: Perform basic clerical tasks, including copying, scanning, faxing, sorting, and distributing mail, as well as maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Insurance and Authorizations: Coordinate with insurance providers, handle pre-authorizations, and certifications as necessary to ensure seamless patient care.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience: Relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, attention to accuracy and detail, ability to multitask, and work effectively in a team environment.
