We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Consumer Insights Researcher to join our team at Sony Interactive Entertainment. Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with portfolio strategy, user research, and marketing teams to identify research opportunities and create comprehensive research plans to inform business decisions.
  • Translate complex stakeholder questions into actionable research plans, leveraging your expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Analyze and present data to provide meaningful, business-relevant insights about players and the market, driving strategic business decisions.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors to design and conduct research internationally, ensuring research quality and driving the impact of actionable strategic insights.
  • Advocate for user research and player experience across teams at PlayStation, demonstrating strong empathy towards players, designers, and marketers alike.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of user/market research experience in a business setting, including an extensive background in end-to-end quantitative and qualitative consumer insights research.
  • Experience independently executing global research to support brand or marketing, including positioning/messaging, audience segmentation, asset testing, strategy validation, etc.
  • Experience effectively managing vendors and external partners, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders in business, marketing, and product teams.
  • Proven track record of leveraging consumer insights research to drive successful business strategies, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with other researchers and presenting information concisely and effectively to people at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in UCD, HCI, Social Sciences (e.g., Psychology, Communication, Sociology, Anthropology), or a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics) with experience answering business questions.
  • Familiarity with the gaming market and industry trends, with previous research experience on video games.
