We are on the lookout for a Senior Accountant to become a vital part of our Outsourced Accounting Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our clients, delivering tailored accounting and financial reporting services that aid them in managing and expanding their enterprises.

Your responsibilities will include independently managing assigned client accounts through cloud-based applications, working in tandem with Outsourced Accounting team members, and receiving guidance from the Accounting Manager. You will handle a diverse range of accounting and financial reporting tasks for our clients, which encompass transaction analysis, intricate account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, staff work review, and support for existing accounting functions. A key aspect of this position is the ability to proactively identify issues, research technical accounting matters, and resolve challenges as an integral part of the clients' accounting services team.

Note: This is a hybrid position requiring attendance in designated offices a minimum of two days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute complex account reconciliations and transaction recording, overseeing all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and closing processes in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Prepare comprehensive client financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and general ledgers.
  • Compile full disclosure financial statements for clients.
  • Generate financial and statistical reports, analyzing any unusual items and alerting the Accounting Manager as necessary.
  • Support clients during the external audit process.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in various accounting software packages.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of the financial operations of clients across diverse industries.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in public and/or private accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems such as Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Concur, or Expensify.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines.
  • Capability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Team-oriented with strong communication and analytical abilities.
  • Experience in account reconciliation and auditing.
  • Knowledge of SEC reporting.
  • Experience in a paperless work environment.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in challenging situations.
