Job Description

This is a full-time position in the Medical Education Operations Department at OCOM. The Medical Education Coordinator will be responsible for managing the Learning Management System (LMS), creating courses, education sessions, grade books, and compiling and formatting all classroom exams. The position will also involve administering and grading exams, maintaining and calculating grades, posting teaching materials, and taking attendance when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compiling and formatting all classroom exams
  • Administering, managing proctors, and grading exams
  • Maintaining and calculating grades in all classroom and laboratory courses
  • Create LMS courses and maintain courses for faculty
  • Posting all teaching materials, including online course material
  • Contribute to the approval process of all excused absences, as designated
  • Review all item analysis from exams and determine when to post grades for students
  • Assist in the Curriculum Mapping process
  • Submit all course final grades to the Registrar at the end of each semester
  • Fully apply FERPA/HIPAA guidelines regarding data access, files, and records
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of student and faculty access
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of faculty and students
  • Maintain class attendance records, as required
Requirements
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) required
  • Extremely organized, detail oriented, and have initiative to follow through to completion
  • Highly motivated, disciplined, and team oriented
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively, and diplomatically interact with all university constituents, and balance multiple projects in stressful situations, while meeting deadlines and maintaining positive relations
  • Must have the ability to analyze a situation, provide one-on-one feedback, and effectively handle and resolve problems
  • Hands-on knowledge/skill of database programs and/or spreadsheets are important
  • Computer proficiency with MacOS and Google Workspace
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be local to the Central Florida area
