Job Overview

St. Thomas School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orienteering Coach to lead our Middle School and Elementary Orienteering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive coaching program that promotes the physical, emotional, and social growth of our student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement practice plans that are tailored to the needs of our student-athletes
  • Provide coaching and guidance to student-athletes to help them develop their Orienteering skills
  • Work closely with the Director of Athletics and After-School Programs to ensure that the Orienteering program aligns with the school's overall athletic and educational goals
  • Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school staff to ensure a positive and supportive team environment
  • Attend all meetings and training sessions as required by the school and the Orienteering league
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in coaching Orienteering at the middle school level
  • Strong knowledge of Orienteering techniques and strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff
  • First Aid/CPR certification
