Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of all levels of office support staff
  • Scheduling staff and ensuring coverage of support services
  • Approving overtime, vacation, and time off requests
  • Conducting or coordinating regular office staff meetings
  • Orienting and training new and current staff on office protocols and job responsibilities
  • Coaching staff to maximize patient throughput
  • Maintaining documentation related to employee performance
  • Identifying needs and assisting front-line leads with planning continuing education for office staff
  • Completing performance reviews of staff

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for practice revenue enhancement and expense reduction initiatives
  • Meeting financial objectives, including collection of prior patient balances, co-pays, and co-insurance
  • Meets with leads and providers to assess, design, implement programs and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the practice
  • Provides detailed action plans for UHPS initiatives and coaches front-line leads and staff through implementation of projects
  • Collects and analyzes data and maintains reports for business efficiency and practice growth
  • Ensures all applicable laws, rules, and procedures are followed concerning typical lab functions

Requirements:

  • Annual training, UH Code of Conduct, and UH policies and procedures in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace
