Job Title: Acute Medical Progressive Care Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Acute Medical and Progressive Care team at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

About the Role:
  • Provide comprehensive and specialized nursing care to acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability.
  • Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a team of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote smooth transitions and high-quality care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest medical advancements and best practices.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of acute care experience, with a focus on IMC or ICU.
  • WI nursing license or compact license from permanent address state.
  • BLS and ACLS certification through American Heart Association.
  • Basic Arrhythmia experience and ability to pass UW Health Telemetry test.
  • Ability to work 36 hours/week, with a mix of day and evening shifts, and every other weekend rotation.
