We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Acute Medical and Progressive Care unit at University Hospital in Madison, WI.
Unit Overview:The Acute Medical and Progressive Care unit is a 29-bed unit that provides comprehensive and specialized nursing care to acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability. Our team is skilled in providing care to patients with a variety of medical diagnoses, including Cystic Fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post-lung transplant.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote smooth transitions among levels of care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care
- 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years
- IMC experience required; ICU experience considered but must be willing to work with non-ICU patients
- Transplant and trach experience required
- WI nursing license or compact license from permanent address state
- BLS and ACLS certified through American Heart Association

Shifts and Schedule:36 hours/week, Evening/Night, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend rotation, some holidays required
