Oncology Nursing Supervisor

UNC Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Leader to join our team in the Oncology Unit. This role will oversee the care of patients with various types of cancer, providing education and training to nursing staff, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
1. Education and Training: Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills of nursing staff, focusing on oncology-specific knowledge and practices.
2. Patient Care Planning: Assess patient needs, develop individualized plans, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
3. Nursing Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and open communication.
4. Clinical Expertise: Stay current with best practices in oncology nursing, applying knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
5. Research and Quality Improvement: Participate in research studies and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of oncology nursing and improve patient care.
Requirements:
* BSN degree required; MSN or DNP preferred
* NC RN licensure and BCLS certification required
* Minimum one year experience as a licensed RN in an oncology setting
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Salary Range: $45-$65 per hour, based on experience.
