Job Overview

The Campground Cleaning Specialist is essential for maintaining the pristine condition of our facilities at KCN Enterprises. This role focuses on ensuring cleanliness across all public areas and accommodations, adhering to established standards while delivering exceptional guest service.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor or Owner(s).

Core Responsibilities

  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules for designated buildings and facilities as directed by the immediate supervisor or owner(s).
  • Utilize cleaning agents appropriately, following training protocols and safety measures, including the use of gloves.
  • Be knowledgeable about bloodborne pathogen procedures and notify the supervisor when necessary.
  • Return all lost and found items to the main office, ensuring proper documentation of cabin numbers and dates. Valuable items should be handed directly to a housekeeping supervisor for secure storage.
  • Deliver outstanding guest service by being attentive, responsive, and accommodating to all guest needs. Always greet guests warmly to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Maintain a positive image through a well-groomed appearance, friendly demeanor, and adherence to the KCN uniform and name tag policy.
  • Regularly submit requests for replenishment of supplies (e.g., toilet paper, cleaning materials) to the immediate supervisor or owner(s).
  • Report any broken or damaged items within campground facilities promptly.
  • Communicate all guest issues, requests, or complaints to the supervisor or owner(s) and follow up to ensure resolution.

Performance Expectations

  • Maintain clean and well-kept campground facilities.
  • Complete job tasks efficiently and within designated timeframes.
  • Achieve high NPS scores reflecting guest satisfaction regarding cleanliness and housekeeping attentiveness.
  • Exhibit a friendly demeanor, professionalism, and dedication to guest service.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation with all staff members.
  • Timely address and report all guest concerns and requests, ensuring follow-up and corrective actions where applicable.
  • Adhere to safe work practices to prevent accidents for both guests and team members.

Qualifications

  • Basic reading skills.
  • Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
  • Capability to operate a golf cart.
  • Ability to work in wet and slippery conditions.
  • Fundamental knowledge of safety protocols related to chemical handling and usage.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly lift and carry 25 pounds.
  • Able to push or pull approximately 200 pounds.
  • Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance.
  • Requires the use of hands and fingers for handling tasks.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to navigate safely over uneven terrain.
