Position Title: Housekeeping Staff

REPORTS TO: Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor or Owner(s)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Housekeeping Staff is tasked with ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the campground, including public areas and all lodging facilities, in accordance with established standards. The role requires efficient cleaning within designated timeframes while delivering exceptional guest service.

KEY DUTIES:

  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules for designated buildings and facilities as directed by the immediate supervisor or owner(s).
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning agents on designated surfaces, adhering strictly to training guidelines. Avoid mixing chemicals or using them directly from their original containers, and always employ necessary safety precautions such as gloves.
  • Be knowledgeable about bloodborne pathogen protocols and notify the supervisor when necessary.
  • Return all lost and found items to the main office, clearly marked with the cabin number and date. Valuable items should be handed directly to a housekeeping supervisor for secure storage.
  • Deliver outstanding and friendly guest service by being attentive, responsive, and accommodating to all guest needs. Greet guests warmly at every opportunity.
  • Maintain a positive image through a well-groomed appearance, friendly demeanor, and proper uniform including name tag.
  • Provide a list of supplies (e.g., toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, cleaning supplies, and equipment) that require replenishment to the immediate supervisor or owner(s) as needed.
  • Report any broken or damaged items within campground buildings, facilities, and grounds.
  • Communicate all guest issues, requests, or complaints to the supervisor or owner(s) and follow up to resolve the matter when possible.

  • Demonstration of teamwork and cooperation with all staff members.
  • Prompt reporting of guest concerns and requests, along with follow-up actions within the team member's scope of responsibility.
  • Adherence to safe work practices to prevent accidents for both guests and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic reading skills.
  • Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
  • Capability to operate a golf cart.
  • Able to work in wet and slippery conditions.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols related to chemical handling and usage.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly lift and carry 25 pounds.
  • Capable of pushing or pulling approximately 200 pounds.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance.
  • Requires the use of hands and fingers for handling or feeling.
  • Long periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and walking.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors frequently in various weather conditions.
  • Capable of navigating safely over uneven terrain.
