Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively within an educational team to evaluate, design, monitor, and execute comprehensive behavioral intervention strategies across the school.
  • Develop, implement, and assess effective Behavioral Intervention programs that include data collection, program development, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Deliver high-quality training sessions for classroom staff, administrators, other professionals, and parents.
  • Provide expert consultation for educators, support staff, administrators, and parents.
  • Evaluate various skill areas such as communication, self-care, play, social interaction, cognitive abilities, and behavioral patterns to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Act as a resource for educators, support staff, administrators, other professionals, and parents.
  • Foster effective working relationships with students, educators, support staff, administrators, other professionals, and parents.
  • Implement diverse communication systems and appropriate methodologies, including principles and techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis; tailor curriculum plans to accommodate individual student needs.
  • Engage in effective communication with staff, administrators, external agencies, and parents to coordinate activities, share information, and address concerns.
  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze a variety of comprehensive reports, records, and files related to assigned duties and personnel.
  • Share and demonstrate expertise in behavioral analysis, positive discipline techniques, and effective practices with parents and school personnel.
  • Oversee the instructional program for students in specialized classes for autism.
  • Design and monitor early intervention programs tailored for students with autism.
  • Assist in supervising support staff within the autism program.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or equivalent experience in applied Behavioral Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, Speech-Language Pathology, or related mental health fields.
  • Possession of a valid California credential authorizing services in areas such as Mild/Moderate Disabilities with an autism authorization or Moderate/Severe Disabilities.
  • A minimum of three years of successful experience in assessing, planning, and implementing positive behavioral interventions for individuals and groups.
  • Familiarity with the Individuals with Disabilities Act and the IEP process.
  • Understanding of developmental disabilities and related conditions.
  • Knowledge of typical and atypical child development.
