Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly qualified Pre-Construction Estimator with expertise in the light industrial sector. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in estimating and pre-construction services, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to precision. This role is essential for the successful execution of light industrial projects, as it entails preparing thorough and competitive estimates to assess project feasibility and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of project plans, specifications, and related documents to generate precise and detailed cost estimates.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders to collect necessary information and clarify project specifications.
• Implement project acquisition processes through various methodologies, including Design-Build, Design-Assist, and Design-Bid-Build.
• Develop and present detailed bid proposals, encompassing cost breakdowns and timelines.
• Engage in pre-bid meetings, site assessments, and bid openings as necessary.
• Support value engineering initiatives to identify cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and project scope.
• Maintain organized and clear documentation of all estimates, bids, and related communications.
• Continuously track and update project budgets and costs throughout the pre-construction phase.
• Work collaboratively with project managers and team members to ensure seamless transitions from pre-construction to construction phases.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction estimating, particularly in commercial and industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Bluebeam, or similar tools).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost structures.
• Experience with project costing and billing processes in both competitive and negotiated bid environments.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Highly relational with effective communication abilities.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
