Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed estimates for new concrete construction and repair projects.
  • Initiate project takeoffs and review specifications and plans related to the Concrete Division.
  • Deliver precise and comprehensive estimates to secure profitable contracts.
  • Perform takeoffs based on plans, specifications, and quantitative bids.
  • Engage with clients to address takeoff inquiries.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to review bid schedules.
  • Conduct job site visits as necessary.
  • Support various estimating processes to enhance company success.
  • Collaborate with Production and Estimating leadership to develop and manage project schedules.
  • Work closely with internal Sales teams to evaluate bids and create proposals.
  • Foster and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Contribute to preplanning efforts and ensure effective project execution.
  • Attend internal project meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with General Contractors, Vendors, Subcontractors, and Management.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating.
  • Proficient in OST, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in concrete-specific estimating is preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret and understand construction plans.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in document conversion and editing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
