Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Service Pre-Construction Electrical Estimator to enhance our team. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in estimating electrical construction projects across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate costs for electrical construction projects ranging from $5,000 to $5 million by reviewing and evaluating available documentation and site conditions.
- Provide preliminary pricing based on discussions and narratives when construction documents are incomplete or unavailable.
- Assist in the design of projects that are not fully developed.
- Quickly adjust prices and budgets in response to changing project conditions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure precise and competitive bids.
- Utilize advanced estimating software to create and manage estimates.
- Stay updated with industry standards, N.E.C., and local codes.
- Offer ongoing support and updates to project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current market conditions and trends in the electrical industry.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical estimating for commercial, industrial, and service projects.
- Demonstrated experience estimating projects within the $5,000 to $5 million range.
- Ability to provide preliminary pricing based on limited documentation.
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials and construction methodologies.
- Familiarity with N.E.C. and local codes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with industry-standard estimating software.
