Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, manage, and mentor both full-time and part-time staff necessary for facility operations.
  • Train team members to comply with all regulatory and safety standards set by state, federal, and company policies.
  • Oversee product ordering, pricing strategies, inventory management, and the logistics of product shipping and receiving.
  • Coordinate product deliveries and supervise application processes.
  • Manage plant operations, including the blending and loading of dry fertilizers, handling of anhydrous ammonia, and the mixing of agricultural chemicals and liquid fertilizers.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure that all equipment and facilities are maintained in optimal condition.
  • Assist in the annual budget planning and contribute to the financial success of the location.
  • Support the Crops Specialist in customer interactions, whether in-person or via phone.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports of business transactions and manage expense accounts.
  • Contribute to the overall company objectives through teamwork and collaboration.
  • Maintain the assigned vehicle according to company standards and uphold a professional appearance.
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, as well as Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Develop and execute business strategies aimed at maximizing profitability at the location.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in agriculture or business, or equivalent experience, along with at least three years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of competitive practices, inventory management, customer credit assessments, and proficiency in agricultural products including fertilizers and chemicals.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to travel independently.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits, including a CDL with appropriate endorsements and a Commercial Applicator Spray License.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and be on-call as required by business needs.
  • Preferred knowledge of agronomy and energy operations.

  • Working conditions may involve dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards, with appropriate safety measures in place.
  • May require working at heights and lifting heavy objects.
