Comprehensive Role of Senior Medical Assistant Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Medical Assistant Supervisor plays a pivotal role within the Honor Community Health team, directly reporting to the Director of Health Center Operations. This full-time, non-exempt position is essential for overseeing daily clinic functions, ensuring smooth office operations, and providing evidence-based, patient-focused medical care. As a leader, mentor, and role model for fellow medical assistants, the Senior Medical Assistant Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of healthcare delivery.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, along with a current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA), is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical leadership roles.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is essential.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, HIPAA, and relevant healthcare regulations is required.
  • A solid understanding of patient-centered care principles and best practices.
  • Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including:
    • Experience with Electronic Health Records (NextGen preferred)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
