About the Role:

The Assistant Inventory Manager will collaborate with our ecommerce and retail teams to execute inventory strategies and processes across all store locations. This role will analyze allocation performance to optimize sales and help implement processes to maintain accurate inventory at the store level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform weekly store allocations based on sales and inventory trends
  • Monitor and analyze stores and merchandise at style/color/size level to ensure that all appropriate inventory levels are maintained, fulfilled, and adjusted as needed for top, mid, and slow sellers
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the production line, seasonality styles, customer, and retail market trends to meet merchandising and sales goals
  • Assist & reconcile daily inventory movements or discrepancies, ensuring all retail locations receive accurate inventory
  • Complete data entry tasks for inventory movements with strong attention to detail
  • Generate and analyze weekly reporting to assist Inventory Manager in business-driven decisions
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to processes, tools, and systems used to drive the allocation of product for the retail business
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in Store Operations, Warehouse, Merchandising, and Planning to identify business opportunities and minimize risks
  • Participate in quarterly physical inventories
  • Communicate with store employees on all aspects of inventory

Requirements:

  • 2-year associate degree or bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
  • 3+ years prior work experience in related field i.e. warehouse, supply chain, inventory distribution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven analytical skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail when performing data entry in various platforms
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Basic computer and math proficiency
  • Highly organized
  • High School diploma required
  • Retail experience preferred
