Job Title: Navy Submarine LAN Tech

Amee Bay, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a skilled professional to provide technical assistance on submarines for local area network concerns.

Job Summary:

A Full-Time position as a Submarine Information Technology (IT) and Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN) Technician is available. The successful candidate will provide support as a primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Submarine systems and equipment for all aspects of IT and LAN/WAN installed systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot Embedded Control System (ECS), Information Technology (IT), Tactical Information Distribution System (TIDS), Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) and associated systems onboard submarines.
  • Direct installation and support techniques in all areas of Submarine Information Technology (IT) equipment, shipboard Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN), and associated equipment, including procurement, installation, at-sea testing, corrective maintenance, and management.
  • Plan, implement, and execute technical projects and programs for the Submarine Cyber Systems Section.
  • Ensure interface with the In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), system program offices, and other government agencies and contractors.
  • Direct repairs for submarine installed Local Area Network (LAN) equipment to include servers, clients, switches, UPS, and all cabling.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years related experience with submarine LAN/WANs and associated components.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and assess various pieces of US Navy Submarine LAN/WAN systems.
  • Ability to communicate well with superiors and peers.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and repair standards.
  • Ability to work well on their own with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in use of related computer programs/systems, Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent standing, sitting, walking, handling, feeling with hands, reaching with arms.
  • Regular Communication (hearing and speaking).
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting of heavy objects.
  • Ability to go aboard ships, barges, and other naval craft.
  • Ability to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up/down steep and narrow ladders or stairways onboard ships.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs in weight.
  • Industrial, shop environment.

This position is located in San Diego, CA.

The hourly rate for this position is $32.30 - $39.50 based on experience.
