About the Role

PoolCorp is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Manager in Training to join our team. As a key member of our distribution center, you will be responsible for learning and executing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, including management, purchasing, and logistics.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in hands-on training and perform duties in every area of the distribution center
  • Shadow contractors, builders, service/maintenance, and retail store customers to learn their aspect of the swimming pool, irrigation, and landscaping business
  • Attend classroom training sessions at our state-of-the-art EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas, covering operations, financials, leadership, human capital management, and operating systems
  • Present a comprehensive report to senior-level management upon completion of the 6-month program
  • Perform other job duties and special operations projects as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Associates degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations, or related discipline with a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Work experience in a leadership and/or problem-solving role, with distribution industry experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a distribution warehouse environment, with a willingness to relocate during and after the program for career development opportunities
  • Results-driven, self-starter with strong leadership skills and a motivated, passionate, customer service-driven attitude
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time and maneuver heavy machinery, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc., and lift products up to 75 pounds

Your total compensation (pay, benefits, and bonuses) will be adjusted based on your job classification, hours worked, and length of employment. Please note that benefits are subject to change.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $50,000 per year based on a full-time schedule. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commissions plans as well as relocation or cost of living adjustments.
