About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Lignetics, Inc. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $85,000-$95,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute maintenance operations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our production facilities.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize production downtime and ensure equipment sustainability.
  • Manage and maintain inventories and order parts as needed for equipment.
  • Consult with and work closely with outside contractors to ensure high-quality maintenance services.
  • Supervise and train Millwrights and LME apprentices to troubleshoot equipment and perform maintenance tasks.
  • Manage and participate in the rebuild or repair of critical equipment, including pellet mills, conveyors, screws, gearboxes, and chains.
  • Prioritize and delegate maintenance schedules and activities, track production downtime, and schedule maintenance days and weekend projects.
  • Drive improvement in all maintenance systems by learning and supporting the Maintenance Excellence program.
  • Provide regular reports to the Plant Manager regarding safety and maintenance concerns and projects.
  • Participate in employee performance management, hiring, disciplinary, and termination meetings.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) card preferred.
  • Journeyman Millwright card preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in journeyman level millwright or equivalent experience.
  • PLC knowledge a plus.
  • Basic understanding of electrical concepts.
  • Project planning & implementation, PM program experience, and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience developing/implementation/managing PM programs preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
Working Conditions

The Maintenance Operations Manager will spend time in the plant working on equipment and/or directing their team to complete projects or repairs. In addition, office time will be used for planning, scheduling, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion, walk, climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch to inspect site conditions as needed. They must also be able to wear personal protective equipment, including eye and ear protection, respiratory protective gear, fall prevention harnesses, and other gear that may be required for access to certain areas of a Lignetics facility.

The Maintenance Operations Manager will be exposed to slippery surfaces, pinch points, trip and fall hazards, and overhead obstacles. They must be able to work under a variety of weather conditions.
