Position Summary:

As a Tax Manager focusing on the Technology and Professional Services sectors at Anchin, you will leverage your expertise to address issues that may impact our clients while fostering strong relationships. You will also serve as a mentor, actively seeking opportunities to guide and share your knowledge with junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to cultivate strong relationships aimed at enhancing service delivery.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of industry-specific issues that could affect clients.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns, seeking internal support when necessary.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline client work coordination and comprehend the workflow for clients.
  • Ensure the precise and timely preparation, review, and submission of tax returns for technology and professional services clients.
  • Stay informed on tax legislation and regulations pertinent to the technology and professional services sectors.
  • Conduct research to interpret tax implications for clients, identifying potential risks and formulating strategies to mitigate them.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment on engagements, encouraging open communication and inclusivity.
  • Monitor engagement economics, including budgets and billable hours, providing regular updates to the engagement lead.
  • Oversee and mentor junior staff, offering guidance on technical matters, professional growth, and client interactions.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years of tax experience, particularly in technology and professional services sectors.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute positively to the work environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex tax concepts to clients and team members.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
