As a Tile Design Consultant, you will play a crucial role in guiding customers through the tile selection process, providing expert advice and support to ensure their vision comes to life. You'll leverage your design knowledge and product expertise to help clients make informed decisions and create stunning spaces.
Your Responsibilities:
- Offer comprehensive interior design guidance and product recommendations, assisting customers with tile and stone selection and project development. Utilize Auto-CAD Project Management where applicable.
- Maintain meticulous records of customer interactions, preferences, and selections in our Customer Management Tool (CMT). Effectively communicate with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless follow-up and sales closure. Provide monthly sales reports.
- Proactively seek out new business opportunities, focusing on custom builders and residential designers. Conduct outside sales calls as needed and nurture leads to drive growth and expand our customer base. Document all customer interactions in CMT.
- Maintain the showroom's visual appeal by ensuring samples are organized, models are updated, and displays are visually engaging. Order, receive, and manage inventory to meet customer demand. Collaborate with suppliers and local vendors to stay informed about design trends and product offerings. Adhere to marketing guidelines for showroom merchandising, including new product launches.
- Host informative showroom tours and events for industry professionals to showcase our products and generate sales leads. Attend trade shows and networking events to build relationships and enhance brand awareness within the industry.
Qualifications:
- A four-year degree in a related field, four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven sales and customer service skills. A strong understanding of design principles, sketching, blueprint reading (Auto-CAD proficiency is a plus), color coordination, interior design trends, and customer buying habits. The ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions for clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with customer management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with customers, team members, management, and external partners to build strong relationships.
