Role Summary:
The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for overseeing the management of incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the process. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining optimal inventory levels and supporting production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all incoming shipments, both inventory and non-inventory related.
- Verify the quality of received items and ensure compliance with purchase order specifications.
- Accurately complete receipt documentation, ensuring a three-way match with packing slips and ERP system data.
- Monitor material requirements planning (MRP) for incoming products and allocate to ongoing projects as necessary.
- Collaborate with procurement personnel to resolve discrepancies in quantities or damaged goods.
- Label and organize inventory items in designated storage areas.
- Prepare components for production tasks and manage inventory issuance within the ERP system, addressing any shortages as they arise.
- Execute inventory transactions in the ERP system, including necessary design change adjustments.
- Conduct daily cycle counts of production inventory, promptly investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Manage miscellaneous shipping tasks for the facility, including returns and exchanges.
- Replenish and maintain essential inventory control supplies for receiving and shipping operations.
- Coordinate with external vendors to ensure cleanliness and support production schedules.
- Process incoming discrepancy reports by managing purchase orders, notifying quality assurance, and organizing items accordingly.
- Assist customer service by opening jobs, retrieving parts, and managing kits.
- Reorganize and consolidate inventory locations to enhance space efficiency.
- Implement recommendations for inventory control regarding slow-moving or obsolete stock, storage practices, and replenishment strategies.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at improving inventory and warehouse operations.
- Adhere to all safety training and organizational policies.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
