Position Overview

The Logistics and Inventory Control Supervisor is accountable for the comprehensive management and movement of materials throughout receiving and warehousing operations. This role encompasses oversight of inventory management and receiving control protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide the materials management team, focusing on warehouse and receiving operations.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory management, receiving, and shipping standards and procedures.
  • Maintain a commitment to real-time inventory accuracy at all times.
  • Drive continuous improvement in performance and service to manufacturing while achieving business objectives.
  • Support adaptable manufacturing practices.
  • Formulate strategies and policies that enhance the efficient, safe, and cost-effective movement of materials across manufacturing.
  • Evaluate enhancements to the Epicor ERP System to improve processes and tools.
  • Organize and plan material handling and warehouse functions to optimize resource utilization.
  • Identify training requirements and promote ongoing skill development within the department.
  • Provide insights for planning and manufacturing setups regarding kit availability and related issues.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing department to enhance supply chain management.
  • Develop and present monthly performance metrics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience is essential.
  • Proven leadership and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and the Theory of Constraints.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Epicor 10 ERP Systems is advantageous.
  • APICS certification is a plus.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
