Position Overview

UW Medicine is seeking a dedicated and experienced cardiologist to fill a full-time faculty role within the Division of Cardiology. This position focuses on advanced heart failure, cardiac transplant, and mechanical circulatory support.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Provide comprehensive clinical care for patients with advanced heart failure in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Engage in educational activities, including mentoring fellows and trainees.
  • Participate in clinical services, enhancing the training of future cardiologists.
Compensation

The compensation package for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits may include an administrative salary supplement and performance incentives through the practice plan.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

  • An MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Washington state.
  • Board certification or eligibility in cardiovascular diseases.
  • Strong clinical expertise in managing end-stage heart failure and transplant patients.
  • A proven track record of research and publication in the field.
