Faculty Position in Oncology Research
The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) are collaboratively seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level without tenure due to funding (WOT), within the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch and the Division of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Medicine at UW.
The primary appointment will be in the Clinical Research Division of Fred Hutch.The selected candidate is expected to advance our mission of providing exceptional clinical care and fostering excellence in clinical research in immunotherapy and/or hematopoietic cell transplantation.
Expertise in cellular and/or pharmacological immunotherapy and transplantation is highly desirable.A portion of the clinical service time is anticipated to be dedicated to a new inpatient service focusing on immunotherapy that is currently under development.
Faculty members are involved in teaching, research, and service, which includes overseeing advanced practice providers and fellows during rotations, as well as delivering both informal and formal lectures.
Anticipated Start Date:
FY24-25
The ideal candidate should possess a strong record and primary interest in cellular immunotherapy and/or hematopoietic cell transplantation, along with an active clinical research interest, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications.
Minimum Qualifications:
MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
Board certification in Medical Oncology or Hematology (or foreign equivalent)
Successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent for foreign medical graduates.
Interested candidates should submit a curriculum vitae, a concise statement of career goals including clinical research objectives, a 2-page diversity statement, a list of five (5) references, and a letter of application addressed to the search committee.
The annual base salary range for this position is from $292,548 to $315,366 for faculty hired at the Assistant Professor rank and from $340,826 to $365,366 for faculty hired at the Associate Professor rank.
Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
