Position Overview

UW Medicine's Division of Cardiology is seeking a dedicated heart failure cardiologist to fill a full-time faculty role. This position is available at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level, focusing on Advanced Heart Failure, Cardiac Transplant, and Mechanical Circulatory Support services.

Clinical Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient environments, specifically for patients dealing with advanced heart failure and related conditions. The role will also involve significant teaching responsibilities, including mentoring fellows and trainees.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is competitive and will be determined based on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include an administrative salary supplement and incentives through the UW Physicians practice plan.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess an MD or DO degree (or equivalent), be eligible for medical licensure in Washington state, and hold board certification or eligibility in cardiovascular diseases. Strong clinical skills in managing end-stage heart failure and transplant patients are essential. A proven track record in research and publication is also required.
