Position OverviewThe Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Washington School of Medicine/Seattle Children's Hospital is actively seeking an Assistant Professor on the Faculty Scientist track. This role involves full-time responsibilities as a pediatric gastroenterologist, providing care in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and outreach clinics.
ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will be expected to:
- Deliver comprehensive care to pediatric patients.
- Engage in teaching, research, and community service.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments with a 12-month service period. Faculty members with this service period receive compensation for 11 months of service, allowing for one month of paid time off.
Division and Institutional SupportOur division comprises 20 faculty members, 8 fellows, and 4 advanced practice practitioners, all supported by specialized GI/Hepatology healthcare professionals. We aim to cultivate thriving academic physicians who provide exceptional care while training the next generation of clinicians and leaders.
