Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator, Financial Aid to join our team at St. Luke's Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, approving, and awarding financial aid to students in accordance with federal, state, and university regulations, policies, and operating guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate financial viability of students and families, and provide advice and counsel regarding available financial aid opportunities, eligibility requirements, and the application process.
  • Review and assess eligibility of applications for financial aid; exercise professional judgment to determine whether adjustments should be made.
  • Conduct orientations, entrance and exit interviews, in accordance with university, state, federal, and other agency guidelines.
  • Provide information to students, prospective students, and families regarding student financial aid, admissions, UNM account balance, and registration status.
  • Oversee the collection, management, and reporting of data in accordance with the objectives of the position.
  • Conduct workshops and/or presentations to students, parents, and/or other interested parties on financial aid policy and procedural issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business and/or accounting required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with Financial Aid administration preferred.
  • Computer experience including spreadsheet software required.
