You will work in close collaboration with the development team to design, develop, execute, and uphold automated testing scripts, frameworks, and tools. Your knowledge in automated testing, software quality assurance, and familiarity with the insurance sector will be essential in pinpointing defects, ensuring compliance, and delivering superior software solutions to bolster our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Automation:
    • Design, develop, and sustain automated testing scripts, frameworks, and tools utilizing industry-standard testing methodologies.
    • Collaborate with internal and external development teams to identify automation opportunities and integrate automated tests into continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
    • Execute automated tests and evaluate results to identify and document defects and inconsistencies, ensuring thorough tracking and documentation of issues.
  • Test Planning and Strategy:
    • Work with business analysts, software developers, and other stakeholders to comprehend project requirements and formulate comprehensive test plans and strategies.
    • Create and maintain test cases, scenarios, and data to ensure extensive test coverage and effectiveness.
    • Contribute to the establishment and upkeep of a test repository for reusability and efficiency.
  • Defect Management:
    • Identify, track, and report defects using issue tracking systems, ensuring clear and precise documentation of issues and their resolutions.
    • Collaborate with Agile development teams to investigate and troubleshoot issues, providing detailed information and assisting in root cause analysis.
    • Validate defect resolutions and conduct regression testing to ensure no new issues emerge.
  • Test Environment Management:
    • Assist in the configuration and maintenance of test environments, including test data preparation and configuration management, to support test execution and ensure accurate results.
    • Work with system administrators and other stakeholders to guarantee the availability and stability of test environments.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of software quality assurance practices, processes, and tools.
    • Engage in code reviews, requirements assessments, and design discussions to provide valuable insights from a quality perspective.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in test automation tools and techniques, and recommend enhancements to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
    • Communicate testing progress, status, and any potential risks to stakeholders, including management and project teams.
    • Act as a subject matter expert in QA automation, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) as a QA Automation Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) for test automation.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and API testing.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) concepts and tools (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions, Docker).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and interact with stakeholders at various levels.
