Baldwin Risk Partners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Benefits Consultant to join our team. As an Insurance Benefits Consultant, you will be responsible for selling new accounts and renewing existing accounts in line with firm and individual goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Account Management: Present proposals in a professional manner, reviewing coverages in detail to ensure understanding.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients, prospects, insurance company partners, and service team in an articulate and effective manner.
  • Policy Sales and Administration: Finalize the sale and collect necessary documents, applications, etc., and brief the service team on the policy sale.
  • Prospecting and Business Development: Develop prospects by becoming involved in community affiliations, attending insurance company partner hosted seminars, building and maintaining relationships with industry contacts, engaging in networking events and through referrals from current accounts.
  • Proposal Development: Develop information and recommendations for prospective accounts, present proposals and adhere to firm policies and procedures for writing a new account.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Maintain a concern for accuracy, timeliness and completion when interacting with current and prospective clients, the Firm, and Insurance Company Partners, to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims while demonstrating strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Industry Knowledge: Maintain understanding and knowledge of the insurance industry and underwriting criteria for insurance company partners represented by the firm to effectively communicate to all involved.
  • Representation and Leadership: Positively represent the firm in the community and with our insurance company partners.
  • Continuous Improvement: Perform other functions as assigned by leadership. Looks for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment, and processes. Brings issues and discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leadership.
  • Performance Metrics: Is expected to meet monthly new business goals.
Requirements
  • Certification(s): None required; None preferred
  • License(s): Maintains Life & Health Insurance License as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide service, consultation, and financial risk transfer solutions in states where the firm functions.
