Position Overview
In this role as a Tax Manager, you will oversee and manage tax engagements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax services to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising the provision of a comprehensive range of tax services in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Building and maintaining client relationships to deliver exceptional planning, consulting, and expertise.
- Offering innovative tax planning solutions and reviewing complex income tax returns.
- Identifying and mitigating potential tax risks.
- Managing tax compliance and provision processes effectively.
- Enhancing processes through the development and implementation of best practices.
- Coordinating and managing tax audits.
- Preparing all necessary tax documentation in compliance with regulations and deadlines.
- Delivering effective tax planning strategies tailored to clients in various industries.
- Collaborating closely with partners and staff on client management and business development initiatives.
- Mentoring and supervising junior staff members.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in tax accounting with a proven record of success.
Specific Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree in Taxation is advantageous.
- CPA certification or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accounting environment or related field.
- Proficient in corporate, estate, partnership, trust, S Corp, and tax accounting.
- Thorough knowledge of tax compliance and various types of tax returns.
- Familiarity with tax software and MS Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional client service skills with the ability to cultivate strong client relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership and personnel management capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail.
