The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in all outlined responsibilities and assumes full accountability for primary duties in the absence of the Store Manager.
Core Responsibilities
Customer Engagement: Supervises and directs the daily activities of associates to deliver an outstanding client experience that maximizes sales and drives customer loyalty. Ensures compliance with brand standards, including merchandising, marketing, and dress code. Acts as the primary contact for resolving customer inquiries and issues while analyzing store trends to anticipate customer needs. Team Development: Engages and cultivates team members to achieve positive outcomes. Utilizes internal recruitment platforms and actively seeks external candidates to build a robust talent pool. Identifies strengths and areas for improvement for each associate, providing coaching and support as needed. Maintains positive associate relations by addressing concerns and keeping the team informed of relevant company updates. Fosters an inclusive environment and builds strong relationships with Store Manager peers. Operational Excellence: Ensures adherence to all company processes through effective training, management, and continuous improvement. Oversees the execution of digital strategies, including Omni-channel fulfillment. Inventory Management: Manages inventory effectively through ordering and processing shipments. Controls payroll hours according to business needs and schedules staff appropriately. Ensures compliance with store opening and closing procedures and follows through on company directives and projects. Safety and Compliance: Maintains a safe store environment for both associates and customers by enforcing all policies and procedures. Responsible for safeguarding company assets by ensuring adherence to inventory and cash control measures. Utilizes available reporting tools and technology to ensure compliance with safety training and execution.Qualifications and Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent required Must be at least 18 years of age Minimum of 2 years of retail sales or customer service experience preferred At least 1 year of prior management experience preferred Ability to lead and support a team to achieve business objectives Strong communication skills with team and management Flexible scheduling availability to meet business needs Cosmetology license is a plus, but not mandatoryCompetencies
