Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Develop new and innovative process technologies to anticipate customer needs and maintain a competitive edge in the orthopedic medical device industry.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to devise solutions to orthopedic problems, including customer inquiries and analysis of existing products.
- Product Development: Participate and lead product development, including concept generation, feasibility testing, prototype creation, and verification and validation testing.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist in the 510(k) and other regulatory application processes, ensuring compliance with FDA, ISO, and MDR requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication: Communicate effectively with vendors, team members, and leadership, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Problem-Solving and Process Improvement: Demonstrate experience in problem-solving and process creation/optimization, driving design inputs based on user needs and marketing requirements.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering (or other engineering or technical degrees with prior medical device development experience).
- Experience: 2 years of previous experience in product development, medical device manufacturing, or a related field.
- Knowledge of FDA, ISO, and MDR regulations.
- Experience with engineering drawings and design verification/validation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
