Job Title: Product Development Engineer

Join Oceaneering, a global leader in engineered services and products, as a Product Development Engineer. In this role, you will lead individual product development projects to support the growth of various segments within Distribution hardware, Pipeline connectors, and standard product lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve development project requirements, including timelines, cost, quality, design-for-manufacturing, design-for-sourcing, and other objectives.
  • Design, test, and evaluate concept designs using engineering principles and techniques.
  • Own projects assigned and provide guidance to less experienced engineers as needed.
  • Write and/or review technical proposals, equipment evaluations, and sourcing.
  • Interface with customers and other project managers (both internal and external) and provide engineering status and progress reports.
  • Prepare technical procedures and technical specifications.
  • Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, applicable standards, contract requirements, and related specifications.
  • Ensure all designs are of compatible materials and components, taking into consideration manufacturing requirements.
  • Perform design reviews and presentations with internal and external customers.
  • Work well within a team and individually.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced team members.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Subsea Engineering (or related engineering discipline).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Minimum of 5 years working knowledge of Solidworks or AutoCad and Enovia or similar Product Life Management (PLM) system.
  • Minimum of 5 years applying Engineering Fundamentals, including structures, hydraulics, and pressure vessels.
  • Minimum 3 years experience with product development life cycle.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in subsea engineering related (subsea systems, subsea tooling, or subsea intervention).
Desired Qualifications:
  • MSc in engineering or charter engineering status.
  • Experience with FEED study and ability to create the Engineering concept.
Additional Information:

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
