Product Engineer Opportunity

Astrix Inc is seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our team. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for working with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to design and develop new products
  • Work with suppliers to evaluate and qualify components
  • Manage prototype builds and ensure assembly processes are developed and documented
  • Assure BOMs are accurate and up-to-date
  • Conduct Production Readiness Reviews
  • Support product transfer projects
  • Identify and qualify alternate materials and components
  • Maintain adequate supply of purchased components
  • Qualify tooling and equipment
  • Address component or product quality issues
  • Manage product labeling
  • Identify and qualify cost improvements
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
  • Up to 1 year of experience in an engineering or scientific R&D or manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to learn and retain complex processes quickly
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Root cause analysis experience
  • Experience in Medical Device industry - Manufacturing / Design / Quality Engineering fields preferred
