Compensation Range:

$125,000 - $165,000 Annual Salary

Job Overview:

The Lead MEP Project Coordinator is responsible for the integration and oversight of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Fire Protection Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Scheduling: Collaborate in formulating installation sequences for mechanical and electrical systems. Establish milestones for the completion of various systems to ensure adequate time for pre-testing and testing.

2. Testing Coordination: Develop a testing schedule for each subcontractor's components leading to coordinated system testing involving multiple contractors.

3. Documentation Management: Create and maintain shop drawing and submittal schedules. Identify long lead items for inclusion in the Master Project Schedule and manage updates.

4. Project Close-Out: Formulate job close-out schedules and implement procedures for final submissions, including as-builts, O&M manuals, and owner training.

5. Review Process: Evaluate shop drawings and submittals for compliance with contract documents and ensure proper coordination among trades.

6. Estimating and Preconstruction: Assist in the preparation of preliminary mechanical and electrical estimates and review subcontractor budgets and proposals.

7. Coordination Meetings: Participate in weekly subcontractor meetings and arrange special meetings to address design challenges and coordination issues.

8. On-Site Monitoring: Oversee on-site work to ensure adherence to contract requirements and project schedules.

9. Quality Assurance: Inspect materials and equipment stored off-site as necessary and identify coordination needs with other trades.

10. Change Order Review: Assist the Project Manager in evaluating change order requests for scope and pricing.

11. Temporary Systems Management: Develop and implement programs for temporary mechanical and electrical systems as needed.

12. Subcontractor Evaluation: Provide recommendations on subcontractor performance and suitability for various projects.

13. Payment Review: Review mechanical and electrical payment requests and billing breakdowns.

14. Relationship Building: Foster working relationships with building, plumbing, and electrical inspectors.

15. Additional Duties: Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Degree in construction or engineering or equivalent experience.

- Technical background in electrical and mechanical trades.

- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.

- Understanding of contractual obligations.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

- Ability to identify and resolve job site challenges.

- Familiarity with craft labor assignments.
