Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Automotive Detailer to join our team at Music City Recon in Duluth. As an Automotive Detailer, you will be responsible for cleaning and detailing vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring they look and feel their best.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and detail vehicles, including interior and exterior surfaces, using various cleaning equipment and solutions.
  • Use special foams and detergents designed for specific types of microfibers.
  • Polish the dashboard, steering wheel, trims, and moldings inside the vehicle.
  • Clean all dirt, grease, and tar from the exterior of the vehicle.
  • Recondition the vehicle's exterior.
  • Clean all glass on the vehicle, inside and out, with the appropriate type of rag and cleaning solution.
  • Clean all mirrors with the proper substance.
  • Pressure wash the engine.
  • Remove grease from the engine and other parts under the hood.
  • Wax vehicles after washing on an as needed basis.
  • Use air compressors and special equipment to dry the inside and outside surfaces.
  • Apply chemicals to surfaces to protect against spots and stains.
  • Use various paints, waxes, and dyes to protect the leather parts of a vehicle's interior.
  • Use hoses and pumps for washing and rinsing vehicles.
  • Dry floor mats.
  • Clean and polish wheel rims and make them sparkle.
  • Clean the headlights, brake lights, and taillights making them brighter.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Must be an active listener and exercise sound judgment.
  • Must be a good multi-tasker.
  • The ability to follow complex instructions is a plus.
  • Should have ample knowledge of safety precautions.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
  • Driving skills and valid driving license are mandatory.

Work Environment:

Time is spent inside and outside of vehicles. Must be able to work with strong detergents and chemicals. Time is spent working outside in both very hot and somewhat cold weather. Must be willing to wear gloves and eye and ear protection.
