Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology/Imaging Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating ionizing radiation-producing equipment, developing film using the PACS system, preparing exam rooms, and gathering supplies for ordered exams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to remain calm during stressful situations, communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, physicians, and support agencies, and evaluate and interpret information to make independent decisions.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate ionizing radiation-producing equipment under licensure from the Bureau of Radiation Control through the State of Texas.
  2. Develop film using the PACS system and prepare exam rooms and gather supplies for ordered exams.
  3. Ensure equipment is in working order and clean.
  4. Assist the Radiologist and nurses to ensure the correct exam is performed in a safe environment.
  5. Utilize the principles of Continuous Quality Improvement.
Requirements
  • Current ARRT Texas License.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain certification throughout employment.
  • Ability to read, write, and converse in English.
  • Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors, and others.
  • Ability to remain calm during stressful situations.
