The Facility Maintenance Technician is tasked with ensuring cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility while managing the inventory of cleaning supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitation of various areas including cafeterias, break rooms, restrooms, and hallways.
  • Sanitize and replenish supplies in all plant restrooms.
  • Perform vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping in designated areas such as break rooms, cafeterias, restrooms, hallways, and offices.
  • Utilize cleaning equipment and systems as per training and specifications (e.g., vacuums, floor scrubbers).
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining storage closets and areas.
  • Prepare necessary cleaning solutions for facility sanitation.
  • Accurately track the usage of all cleaning chemicals, paints, and supplies taken from inventory.
  • Communicate effectively regarding the utilization of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as per established procedures.
  • Maintain recycling bins and manage waste, including periodic deep cleaning of office spaces and break rooms.
  • Perform exterior cleaning tasks, including maintenance of building exteriors, windows, grounds, and parking areas in various weather conditions.
  • Complete assigned duties efficiently and on schedule.
  • Carry out additional janitorial tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • All candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the Reno, NV facility. Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from this geographical limitation.
Preferred Skills:
  • At least 6 months of prior experience in facilities maintenance or janitorial roles.
Position Requirements:
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Adhere to safe work practices in accordance with government and corporate safety standards.
  • Capability to remain on feet for extended periods; kneeling, bending, and climbing are required.
  • Able to work at heights of up to 40 feet.
  • Must regularly lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as dictated by company policy.
  • Exposure to high noise levels (ear protection may be necessary in certain areas).
  • Work in high-traffic areas with forklift operations.
  • Indoor and outdoor exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Work environment may involve exposure to oils, lubricants, and solvents.
