Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant/Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Methodist Health System. As a liaison between healthcare providers and patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless communication and exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triaging patient phone calls and documenting all actions and communications
  • Assisting with clinic visits as needed and supporting the vision, mission, and strategic plans of Methodist Health System
  • Providing strong oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders
  • Utilizing technical office equipment, including computers, printers, fax, copiers, and telephones, to perform daily tasks
  • Proficiently using Microsoft Office products to maintain accurate records and reports
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care and outcomes
  • Providing vision and leadership to promote a collaborative environment and drive results
  • Assessing daily workloads to determine volume and urgency, prioritizing tasks, and adapting to changing patient, physician, and professional allied health provider workflow
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of Medical Assistant Program preferred
  • 1 year experience in direct patient contact in a medical setting
  • Strong proficiency in technical office equipment and Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual skills preferred
