Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Methodist Health System. As a key member of our front office staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets and Registers Patients: You will be responsible for welcoming patients, verifying their demographic and insurance information, and registering them into our computer system.
  • Schedules Appointments: You will assist patients with scheduling appointments, following our office scheduling policies, and collecting payments.
  • Provides Excellent Customer Service: You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing a warm and welcoming experience, and addressing any concerns or issues they may have.
  • Maintains Confidentiality: You will maintain the strictest confidentiality in handling patient information, adhering to our organization's policies and procedures.
  • Works Collaboratively: You will work closely with our clinical staff, patients, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in grammar, spelling, and communication skills.
  • Medical Terminology Knowledge: You should have a working knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and front office procedures.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You must be able to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Typing and Data Entry Skills: You should have strong typing and data entry skills, with the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
