Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Patient Care Coordinator to ensure a smooth and positive experience for our patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a patient-centered approach, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly and ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Manage the scheduling of patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of the audiologists time while accommodating patients needs.
  • Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Insurance Coordination: Verify patient insurance coverage, obtain necessary authorizations, and assist patients with billing inquiries.
  • Pre-Visit Preparation: Ensure that all necessary documentation and patient information is collected and organized prior to appointments.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients with information on hearing aids, treatment plans, and follow-up care as directed by the audiologist.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, audiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless communication.
  • Office Administration: Assist with general office tasks, such as answering phones, managing emails, and ordering supplies.
  • Follow-Up Care: Coordinate and schedule follow-up appointments, and ensure patients receive timely reminders.
  • Patient Satisfaction: Continuously monitor patient satisfaction and work to improve the patient experience.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelors degree in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in audiology or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of medical insurance processes and terminology.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused, and empathetic demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
