Job Summary

Echo Global Logistics is seeking a skilled Network Operations Center Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of our infrastructure and providing timely and effective support and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively monitor our infrastructure using monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Respond to alerts and notifications, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot issues with a focus on restoring service in a timely manner to reduce impact and ensure system availability.
  • Drive remediation efforts and implement solutions using automation.
  • Focus on preventative maintenance and create, maintain, and update documentation and SOPs.
  • Manage tickets through resolution and engage in the incident management process.
  • Collaborate with support teams daily to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
Requirements
  • 3 – 5 years of experience working in a NOC or IT Operations Center.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience with Network Monitoring Systems & Tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Nagios, SolarWinds, and Splunk.
  • Familiarity with security protocols and best practices.
  • Familiar with ITIL framework and a ticketing system such as ServiceNow.
  • Network automation skills and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-managed, motivated, and collaborative with strong time management skills in a challenging environment.
  • Ability to follow tasks through to their completion with a high degree of accuracy and quality.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems and virtualization technologies, as well as experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting server hardware, storage systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, routing, switching, etc).
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and hardware.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
